Vehicle registration with the RDW is available for €51.50, which we handle directly upon purchase. The e-scooter comes with an official Dutch license plate and complies with all European safety and battery regulations. The license plate, plate holder, and administrative costs total €29.95. Once registered in your name and insured, it is fully legal to ride on public roads.

As soon as your e-scooter arrives, you can register it immediately. Inside the box, you will find all required documents, including the registration code. As an individual, you can complete this online via "Transfer vehicle registration to an individual's name" on RDW.nl using your DigiD. As a business, you can arrange it online via "Transfer vehicle registration to a company name" on RDW.nl using eHerkenning. Don't have DigiD/eHerkenning, or prefer to do it in person? You can visit a vehicle registration desk (kentekenloket) or an RDW service desk.
The registration fee is €13.10, paid directly to the RDW. You must be at least 16 years old and registered at a residential address in the Netherlands. Once the e-scooter is in your name, you can take out insurance and head out on the road.
No driver's license is required for an approved e-scooter like the Air6 Pro+ Suspension NL. However, you must be at least 16 years old to ride it on public roads.
A helmet is not mandatory for an approved e-scooter with a maximum speed of 25 km/h. However, we strongly recommend wearing one for your own safety.
